We meet at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport at 4:30 a.m.. Boarding Etihad Airways flight with a stopover in Abu Dhabi and final arrival in Mumbai at 19:00 local time.
After passport control and collecting our luggage, we will be transferred to our hotel for check-in and rest.
Those who wish can take their first stroll in the area where our hotel is located, along the legendary Marine Drive, enjoying the view of the illuminated Mumbai Bay, or have dinner at a local restaurant on the waterfront. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Mumbai – Gateway of India – Victoria Terminus – Mani Bhavan – Dabbawalas – local train – Dhobi Ghat – old city walk – Dharavi slum

Breakfast at the hotel and our day begins with a visit to the iconic "Gateway of India", the city's most recognizable arch that dominates Mumbai's harbor and is a symbol of the colonial era. We continue with Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus), India's most impressive railway station, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its stunning Victorian Gothic architecture.
Next, we visit the historic Mani Bhavan building, where Mahatma Gandhi lived and worked during his stay in Mumbai from 1917 to 1934. Here, we will get to know his journey and philosophy up close through his personal belongings and rare archival material.Then we will take a walk and visit the famous "Dabbawalas," the human delivery network that delivers hundreds of thousands of lunches to workers every day with impressive accuracy — a system that has been studied by Harvard and is a unique phenomenon of the city.

For an authentic experience, we board a local train for a short ride to experience the pulse of commuting in Mumbai, alongside the locals.
Next, we stop at "Dhobi Ghat," the largest outdoor laundry in the world, where hundreds of workers wash clothes by hand every day. Here, daily work becomes a spectacle – another reflection of the city's uniqueness.
Next, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant or cafe in a trendy cafe in the area, where we will relax and taste light local dishes.
Next, we will take a walk with our guide in the "Fort" area, the historic center of Mumbai. We will discover impressive colonial buildings, such as the High Court of Maharashtra, a magnificent example of neo-Gothic architecture, the City Hall, one of the oldest public buildings with its imposing white steps and columns, and other architectural gems of old Mumbai.
In the afternoon, we will take a guided tour of the famous Dharavi slum, one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip. We will get up close to the heart of Dharavi, one of Asia's largest slums, where thousands of people work daily in small recycling, pottery, textile, and food businesses. A journey filled with humanity, dignity, and creativity.
In the evening, we will have free time. Optionally, you can watch a cricket match at Oval Maidan, the central square where dozens of matches are played daily by professional and amateur teams. Alternatively, you can enjoy the view from a rooftop café or take a stroll through local night markets. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Sassoon Dock – Newspaper Walas – fruit, vegetable, and flower markets – flight to Unaipour – Unaipour Palace
Our day begins very early in the morning, as we will start with an exciting tour of Sassoon Dock, one of Mumbai's oldest and most authentic fish markets, where local fishermen bring in their daily catch. With our guide, we will discover the daily "crazy" life in the port and the importance of this traditional trade in the city.
Immediately after, we head to Newspaper Walas, the people who manage the daily distribution of newspapers throughout the city with absolute precision. We'll see how newspapers reach every neighborhood with amazing speed and coordination.
We will visit the local fruit and vegetable market, where we will see colorful stalls filled with fresh produce. Next, we will visit the flower market, a traditional market filled with the most beautiful flowers of India, where locals buy flowers for their religious ceremonies and daily needs.After the tour, we return to the hotel for breakfast. If you wish, you can enjoy a traditional Indian breakfast at a local shop, offering an authentic taste experience.
Then, we will have free time to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or enjoy a coffee at one of the city's wonderful cafes.
We then head to the airport for the flight to Unayapura.
We arrive in Udaipur, one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in India. We will be guided through the impressive City Palace of Udaipur, an impressive palace complex built in the 16th century, which is a symbol of the royal heritage of Rajasthan. We will explore the rooms of the palace, the courtyards and gardens, while learning about the history and the kings who governed the city. Then we will be transferred to the hotel and have free time to take a stroll on the "Pichola" lake and wander the streets of the center with its small shops and traditional cafes. Bhil villages (Dhar and Ubeshwarji villages) – Ranakpur Temple – Jodhpur (the "Blue City") – Thali dinner
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for an authentic experience with the Bhil tribe and the villages of Dhar and Ubeshwarji. During this visit, the intense moments will come from direct interaction with the people of the village. We will walk the village's alleys, meet the locals in their homes and farms, and feel the authenticity of their way of life.The most intense moment comes with the visit to the village school, where we will watch the children in class. The image of them learning with enthusiasm and dedication, despite the difficult conditions, is a true reminder of the power of education. The interaction with them, as well as the opportunity to share school supplies and gifts, will be unforgettable for all of us.
After visiting the villages, we depart for Jodhpur, making an intermediate stop and touring the Jain temple of Ranakpur, one of the most important and impressive Jain temples in India, dedicated to the god Adinath. With its unique architecture and intricate carvings, the temple offers a unique glimpse into India's religious heritage.We arrive in Jodhpur and transfer to our hotel for check-in. We then enjoy a meal at a selected restaurant, where we will have the opportunity to try the traditional Thali, a variety of different Indian dishes, which include all kinds of flavors and aromas.

Mehrangarh Fort – walking the old city – Clock Tower – “Pink City” Jaipur
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we start our day with a tour of the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, which towers over the city from a 120-meter-high hill. Built in the 15th century, this fort is considered one of the best-preserved forts in India. We will have the opportunity to explore the impressive halls of the museum, see authentic costumes, weapons, and miniatures, and admire the breathtaking view of the "Blue City" with its characteristic painted houses.
Then, we walk downhill through the picturesque alleys of the old town, passing by houses, workshops, small markets, and authentic scenes of everyday life. Our walk ends at the Clock Tower, built by Maharaja Sarkar Singh in the late 19th century. The bustling Sardar Market lies just around the corner, perfect for an authentic taste of local culture and perhaps a few souvenirs.Then, we depart by road for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also known as the "Pink City". A part of India's "Golden Triangle," Jaipur is a gem of architecture, filled with palaces, forts, and a vibrant cultural life, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Arrive in Jaipur in the afternoon and check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free, ideal for relaxation or a first drink at one of the city's modern bars and restaurants. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Jaipur – morning cycling (or tuk tuk) – Panna Meena ka Kund – Amber Fort – elephant sanctuary – Hawa Mahal Palace – dinner with traditional music and dance from Rajasthan
Our day starts early in the morning with a unique experience as the city slowly wakes up. Together with a local guide, we will explore by bike (or tuk-tuk) traditional neighborhoods and see places that usually remain "hidden" for tourists.
During the journey, we will feed cows, a sacred act in Hinduism, and learn about their importance in the lives of Indians. We will also pass by famous Havelis, the traditional merchant mansions, and have the opportunity to explore local markets filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts. Next, we will participate in an invigorating laughter yoga session, and attend the morning worship ceremony at a local temple, a unique and spiritual experience worth living.After this authentic experience, we will try traditional Indian sweets and beverages at safe local shops. Some of the flavors we will taste include Jalebi, the sweet that Indians love, Mathri savory biscuits, flavored Masala Chai and Lassi, the traditional yogurt sweet drink.
We return to the hotel for breakfast and rest. Immediately after, we begin our tour of the city's most important sights. Our first stop is Panna Meena ka Kund, an impressive traditional stepwell dating back to the 16th century. We then head to the famous Amber Fort, where we will explore the palaces and courtyards of the fort, with exceptional views and rich history.We will visit an elephant sanctuary, where we will have the opportunity to see these imposing creatures up close and learn about their lives, as well as their importance in Indian culture. We then head to Hawa Mahal, the famous "Palace of the Winds," for a photo stop in front of the monument's unique facade.
We will then have free time in the city center to stroll, shop, and have coffee before returning to the hotel to get ready for dinner, during which we will have the opportunity to listen to live traditional music and watch traditional Rajasthani dances. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Monkey Temple – lunch safari at Ranthambore National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart from Jaipur and head to the famous "Monkey Temple" (or Galta Ji temple), which is located on a hill and is filled with monkeys that roam freely throughout the temple complex. After our tour of the complex and our photos with the monkeys, we depart for Ranthambore National Park, one of the most famous and historic national parks in India. The park, which spans approximately 500 square kilometers, is particularly known for its large population density of Bengal tigers, and is considered one of the best places in the world to observe these majestic animals. The park also houses leopards, crocodiles, bears, antelopes, and over 200 species of birds, making it ideal for wildlife and photography enthusiasts.Our stay in the park offers complete peace and quiet, far from the noise and crowds of the cities. Upon arriving at the National Park, we will participate in the midday safari to search for and observe Bengal tigers and have the opportunity to observe the rare and impressive flora and fauna of the park. After the safari, we return to the hotel to relax and have dinner, enjoying the atmosphere of the calm environment around us. Overnight.

Morning safari in Ranthambore – Agra
We wake up early in the morning and start our day with the second part of Ranthambore National Park. At first light, we enter the park and begin our safari, enjoying the beautiful scenery, which is completely different from the previous day's. Safari in Ranthambore is a unique experience, as the park includes dense jungles, lakes, and open plains, offering excellent conditions for observing animals. At Ranthambore, tigers are the main attraction (if we're lucky), but they're not the only ones that impress us. As we move forward, we will have the chance to see other amazing wildlife images, such as leopards, crocodiles, deer, antelopes, and a multitude of birds.After we complete the safari, we return to our hotel to enjoy breakfast and relax for a bit. After resting, we prepare to continue our journey.
We depart for Agra by road, and the journey is filled with breathtaking landscapes and small villages. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, so we arrive in Agra in the afternoon. We check into the hotel and have free time to explore the Agra market, where we will find traditional Indian products, such as handmade fabrics, jewelry, and local sweets. We return to the hotel. Overnight.

Agra – Taj Mahal – Agra Fort – Itimad-ud-Daula Tomb
Our day begins early in the morning as we head to the Taj Mahal, India's most famous and iconic monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A tour of the Taj Mahal is a unique experience, as the white marble of the monument shines under the morning sun. Together with our guide, we will discover the story behind this architectural wonder, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This experience is undoubtedly one of the most memorable of our trip.After completing our visit to the Taj Mahal, we return to our hotel for breakfast and then head to the Agra Fort, one of India's most impressive forts, which combines its strong military construction with the elegance of its palaces and gardens. From the castle, we can enjoy a wonderful view of the Taj Mahal and the surrounding area. Our guide will explain the historical significance of the castle and its connection to the Mughal dynasty.Our next stop is the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula, also known as the "Little Taj Mahal". This mausoleum, although smaller than the Taj Mahal, stands out for its exceptional architecture and beautiful decorative elements. A quiet and picturesque place that offers us the opportunity to enjoy its beauty and reflect on its history.
The rest of the day will be free for shopping at the local market of Agra, as well as for eating and drinking at one of the city's restaurants. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Agra – Jhansi – Orchha Fort – Ram Raja Temple – Khajuraho
Our day starts early in the morning as we head to Agra Railway Station to catch the train to Jhansi. The train ride is a unique opportunity to enjoy the Indian countryside and observe the changes in the landscape as we travel from Agra in Uttar Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh.
As we arrive in Gianitsa, we take a bus to Kato Kato. During the trip, we make a stop to visit the Orchha Fort, one of the most impressive historical monuments in the area. We explore the various parts of the castle, which include palaces, temples, and towers, and learn about the history of Orce, an important city that uniquely combines royal and religious history.Next, we visit the Ram Raja Temple, one of the most important religious sites in the area. The temple is dedicated to the god Ram and combines spiritual atmosphere with architectural grandeur, and visiting there offers a unique experience of Hindu religious culture. Then we will have some free time for coffee or lunch at a local restaurant and continue our journey to Khajuraho. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for strolling around Khajuraho for lunch or relaxation and relaxation at the hotel. Overnight.

Kajuraho Temples – Varanasi

Boat ride on the Ganges – walk along the Ghats – Crematorium – cloth and sari village – Aarti ceremony – Thali dinner
We wake up early in the morning and leave the hotel for a unique boat ride on the sacred Ganges River. As the sun rises, the atmosphere on the boat is magical. We see the faithful praying along the ghats, taking their morning bath and performing purification rituals, while the river's waters reflect the colors of the sunrise. The ghats, the steps that descend into the water, are full of life, and the city begins to awaken with a calm and spiritual atmosphere. The image of the smoke rising from the crematoria and the serenity of the landscape immerses us in a spiritual experience. Here, the connection to Varanasi's religious and cultural past is strong and unmatched.After we finish the boat ride, we walk with the guide to the old city of Varanasi. The narrow streets and colorful shops transport us to another world. We visit the most famous ghats in Varanasi, such as Assi Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat, and Manikarnika Ghat, the city's most well-known crematorium. Here, the rituals of burning the dead are performed, which is directly connected to the Hindu belief that burning in Varanasi ensures the release of the soul from the cycle of reincarnations. Our guide will explain the deep religious and cultural significance of these sites, offering a valuable perspective on the Hindu tradition and life on the Ganges.Next, we visit the famous village of Varanasi for its silk fabrics and saris, the traditional garment for women in India. Here, we have the opportunity to see the entire process of producing the exceptional silk fabrics, which are famous worldwide for their quality and technique. We watch the artisans work with their traditional looms and create the colorful and impressive saris, which are important for religious and cultural ceremonies. After the visit, we return to the hotel for some free time and rest.In the afternoon, we will attend the Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat, one of the most impressive religious ceremonies in Varanasi. This ceremony is dedicated to the Ganges River and includes fires, flowers, incense, and music, creating an atmosphere filled with spirituality and respect. The sight is incredibly impressive and offers a unique experience of religious life in India.
In the evening, we will enjoy a traditional vegetarian Thali meal at a local restaurant. Thali is a complete meal that includes a variety of dishes, offering a taste of the local cuisine of Varanasi and the wider region of Uttar Pradesh state.
After watching the Aarti ceremony, we have free time to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the city or take a few last strolls. We return to the hotel in the evening for rest and overnight stay.

Varanasi – Delhi – street food tour – rickshaw ride
We wake up early in Varanasi and head to the train station, where we catch a train to New Delhi. Our route allows us to relax and enjoy the Indian landscape as we pass through different areas. We arrive in New Delhi around noon, check into the hotel, and have some time to rest.
Later, we meet our guide and begin our tour of Old Delhi. The contrast between old and new Delhi is striking: from the modern and organized area of New Delhi with its wide streets and shopping centers, we move to the bustling and vibrant old city, where narrow streets, traditional shops, cables, monkeys, and horns offer unique and unprecedented images of everyday life in the old city.Next, we will explore the lively streets of the city with our guide for a unique street food tour at selected and safe locations. We start with a fluffy daulat chaat, a light dessert that melts in your mouth. We continue with classic samosas, crispy and filled with aromatic filling. We try hot, syrupy jalebi, perfect for those who love intense sweets, and refresh ourselves with a traditional nagori tea. We will also enjoy a cool glass of lassi, a creamy yogurt delicacy, and the famous paratha, the famous aromatic and very tasty Indian pies will not be missing. Finally, we'll end with the wonderful, colorful, and frozen faluda, a perfect touch of refreshment for the finale of our tasting.After enjoying the local flavors, we will take a rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi. As we move through the narrow streets, we observe the daily life of the locals, the colorful shops, the traditional markets, and the religious sites, while the rickshaw experience offers us a unique perspective of this vibrant world.
Our day ends with returning to the hotel for rest and overnight stay.

Salaam Baalak Walk – Bangla Sahib Gurudwara – National Museum of Delhi – India Gate – Presidential Palace – Lotus Temple – Qutub Minar
We wake up early and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We start our day with perhaps the most intense experience of our trip. We leave the hotel and head to the Salaam Baalak NGO, where we will have the unique opportunity to meet children from the community. Unfortunately, there are over 2 million children living on the streets in India, and Salaam Baalak helps these children by providing them with a safe home, education, and support to build a better life. On the walk-tour we will take in the neighborhood, we will meet children who once lived on the street in deplorable conditions and now have a hopeful future, we will learn about their very difficult history and we will see firsthand the efforts of the NGO to offer hope and support to these young people.Our meeting with the children of Salaam Balak is certainly the most moving and encouraging experience of the trip, as we will see firsthand the power of the human spirit and the hope for a better future.
Next, we will visit the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, one of the most important and well-known sacred sites for the "Sikh," located in the center of Delhi.We then move on to the National Museum in Delhi, where we will have the opportunity to explore the extensive collection of artworks, objects, and archaeological finds that demonstrate India's rich cultural heritage. Our museum tour provides a comprehensive picture of the history, art, and culture of this ancient country. Following (outside) is a tour of the Presidential Palace, the Gateway of India, and the Lotus Temple, three of the city's most iconic landmarks. India Gate is a national monument honoring Indian soldiers who fell during World War I, while the Lotus Temple, with its impressive architecture, is a symbol of harmony and peace, dedicated to the Baha'i faith. Then we will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant or relaxation at a café.Next, we visit the Qutub Minar, the tallest stone minaret in the world and one of the most famous historical monuments in Delhi. Its impressive architecture and historical significance make it one of the city's most important landmarks.
After our tour and heading to our hotel, we will have some free time and in the Khan Market neighborhood, part of the Lutyens’ Delhi area, one of the most expensive and central neighborhoods in New Delhi for strolling, shopping, coffee or dessert. Then, we return to the hotel, rest, and slowly prepare for the return flight to Greece.

The last day of our India trip dawns early. Our flight departs early in the morning from New Delhi, with a stopover in Abu Dhabi, and we arrive in Athens at noon where this unique excursion concludes. We return to our daily lives, but India remains indelibly etched in our memories, filled with emotions, flavors, images, experiences, and stories that we will cherish forever.

NOTES
  • No mandatory vaccination is required for entry into India. However, it is important to consult your personal doctor at least 6-8 weeks before the trip, so that you can be informed about the necessary or recommended vaccinations.
  • For any changes in flight times, the airline is responsible, not our office. The last hours of flights (if there are any changes) will be announced in the last trip information, 10 days before departure.
